This remixed, remastered, re-sliced version of the score for Phil Tippett's MAD GOD incorporates many of sound designer Richard Beggs’ (Apocalypse Now, Lost in Translation, Children of Men, Harry Potter) innovative, thoughtfully crafted sound effects. Whereas the Waxwork Records version of the score (which also included a few of Richard's effects) remains the official soundtrack album, these mixes offer a partial glimpse into the collaboration between the sound and music departments of the film. This version also includes many of the mix changes Richard imparted to the score's stems when he incorporated them into MAD GOD's theatrical mix.

Whenever I hear the score for MAD GOD on it's own I sense holes where Richard's sonic signatures should be - I worked on the project off and on for over ten years with Richard, so naturally his sound effects have become completely baked into the soundscape for me. So it occurred to me that other MAD GOD enthusiasts might also appreciate a version of the original soundtrack that has some of those sonic holes filled in.

Perhaps this album is more for the hardcore MAD GOD fan, but as Phil pointed out to me, most fans of MAD GOD seem to be hardcore fans.
